TRIBUNBATAM.id - During the third quarter of 2019, the economy of the Riau Islands Province was known to grow by 4.89 percent.
"Growth in the quarter was driven by the growth of the manufacturing industry category which contributed 2.73 percent growth," said Head of the Central Statistics Agency of the Riau Islands, Zulkipli, Friday (11/08/2019).
The highest growth year on year in the third quarter of 2019, said Zulkipli, was achieved by Provision of Accommodation and Eating Drinks of 23.79 percent then followed by Information and Communication of 16.44 percent.
The economy of the Riau Islands in the third quarter of 2019 when compared to the second quarter of the same year, grew by 2.26 percent.
Meanwhile, the Riau Islands economy in the third quarter of 2019 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp 67.13 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp 45.79 trillion.
Zulkipli said, in terms of expenditure, the component of Household Consumption Expenditure contributed to economic growth of 2.12 percent.
In addition, Zulkipli also said that the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Expenditure contributed 1.28 percent growth.
In terms of production, the category that experienced the highest growth was the Health Services and Social Activities category at 11.98 percent.
"And in terms of expenditure, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component grew 0.42 percent and Household Consumption Expenses grew 0.36 percent," said Zulkipli.
Until the third quarter of 2019 cumulatively, the economic growth of the Riau Islands grew by 4.78 percent compared to the same period the previous year. (Tribunbatam.id/Nabella Hastin Pinakesti)
