Montigo Bridge Batam Collapsed, Police Check 6 Witnesses Including Resort Owners
Of the 25 people who were victims, some of them had broken ankles and some had broken ribs.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Barelang Police Satreskrim, Thursday (11/07/2019), examined 6 witnesses for questioning regarding the collapse of a wooden bridge at Montigo Resort Batam.
The examination began with 4 people examined in the Criminal Investigation Unit I Barelang Police Barelang.
Furthermore, there were 2 other people who came after around 23:29 WIB.
The six were all men who had been examined by the Barelang Police Criminal Investigation Unit until 00:15 WIB.
Based on information compiled by the Batam Tribune, the Criminal Investigation Unit of Barelang Police is known to have checked the owner of the Resort to the hotel Security Chief.
Allegedly Not Strong Withstanding the Load
Previously it was reported, the bridge in Montigo Resort Batam collapsed, on Thursday (11/07/2019) around 16:00 WIB.
As a result, dozens of foreign tourists from Singapore became victims after plunging into the sea under the bridge.
After the incident, the victim was rushed to the hospital.
There are at least two hospitals that handle dozens of these patients.
Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Police, Commissioner Erlangga Pol, when confirmed said, after getting information that the bridge at Montigo Resort Batam collapsed, his members were immediately deployed to the field to evacuate the victims.
Erlangga also confirmed that dozens of people who were victims were foreigners who came from Singapore.
