TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government stated that the Covid-19 case in Indonesia had already exceeded 60,000 people to this day, Friday (3/7/2020).
Based on government data up to Friday at 12.00 WIB, the number was caused by 1,301 new cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
The addition of new cases caused 60,695 cases of Covid-19 in the country, since the first case was announced by President Joko Widodo on March 2, 2020.
This information was conveyed by Government Spokesperson for Corona Virus Handling, Achmad Yurianto in a press conference from Graha BNPB on Friday afternoon.
"We have positive case-confirmation data of 1,301 people, bringing the total to 60,695," Yurianto said.
The addition of 1,301 cases was only discovered after examining 22,281 specimens from 16,838 people. This means that one specimen can be taken more than once.
A total of 871,436 specimens were examined from 519,970 people sampled.

At least five provinces recorded a high number of new cases of Covid-19.
East Java was again to being the province with the most additions, with 353 new cases. Next, South Sulawesi with 180 new cases.
Then, there are DKI Jakarta with 140 new cases, Central Java with 134 new cases, and South Kalimantan with 110 new cases.
Data of patients who recovered and died
Based on data in the same period, there were an additional 901 Covid-19 patients considered to be cured.
They who were declared cured after examination with a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method showing negative of coronavirus results.
Thus, a total of 27,568 Covid-19 patients have been declared no longer infected with the coronavirus.
