This is also felt by a number of hotel entrepreneurs in Batam City.
Monika, as Pacific Palace Hotel's Customer Service (CS) staff, confirmed this.
The hotel, which is located at Sungai Jodoh, Batu Ampar, has experienced a decline in turnover since six months ago.
"Since the pandemic we have experienced a decline in turnover by up to 50 percent. On average, in a day, hotel rooms are only occupied by 30 percent of the total rooms, namely 180 rooms.
This means that as many as 40 to 50 rooms are filled per day, "said Monica when met by TribunBatam.id at Pacific Palace Hotel Batam, Thursday (3/9/2020).
Monica hopes that the Government can make regulations as a firmer step and can pay attention to the tourism industry, especially the hotel sector in Batam City.
This is to revive the economy which is experiencing a slowdown.
