Head of the Lingga Agriculture and Food Security Service Dies after Exposing Covid-19

TRIBUNBATAM.id, LINGGA - Head of the Lingga Regency Agriculture and Food Security Service, Riau Islands, Siswandi, died after being exposed to Covid-19. 

Spokesperson for the Lingga Regency Covid-19 Task Force, Wirawan Trisna Putra, confirmed this information.

Currently, an investigation is still being carried out where Siswandi contracted the coronavirus. 

"We are still doing tracing to break the chain, starting from the family of the deceased, the staff, to the people who met the deceased," said Wirawan, Sunday (7/2/2021).

According to Wirawan, Siswandi has no history of traveling outside the city. However, there were some people from other areas who came to meet him. 

Wirawan said Siswandi had been coughing and short of breath since January 31, 2021. When he was examined with a PCR test, he was positive for Covid-19. 

Siswandi is also said to have high blood pressure and pneumonia. 

Despite serving as the Head of the Department, Siswandi isn't one of the officials in Lingga Regency who has received the vaccine. (*)
