This can be seen by the increasing number of new cases of Covid-19, based on data entered until Thursday at 12.00 WIB.
Government data shows that there have been 5,353 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This addition causes the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to currently reach 1,837,126 people, as of the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.
Then, from the same data, in a day it was discovered that there were an additional 11,092 Covid-19 patients who recovered and were considered no longer infected with the coronavirus.
They were declared cured based on an examination using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method which showed negative results for the coronavirus.
Thus, the total recovered Covid-19 patients now reached 1,691,593 people since the start of the pandemic.
However, the government is still note the number of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period June 2 - June 3, 2021, there were 187 Covid-19 patients who died.
Thus, the death toll from Covid-19 in Indonesia has reached 51,095 people.
With this data, there are now 94,438 active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. They are patients who are still undergoing treatment or self-isolation. (*)
