Deputy Chairman of the Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of the Riau Islands Industrial Estate Association (HKI), Tjaw Hioeng or familiarly called Ayung said this program continues to be a serious concern.
"The implementation schedule is gradual. It depends on the availability of the existing medical team," Ayung told Tribun Batam reporters.
From the data compiled by him, as many as 20,000 workers in the Batamindo Industrial Estate have been vaccinated.
This number is likely to be large and will continue to grow in the future.
His party targets that, by mid-July, the vaccination for industrial workers in each area will be completed.
"We have implemented the vaccine since last Monday," he added.
