TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Department (BMKG) of Raja Haji Fisabilillah (RHF) Tanjungpinang predicts the weather forecast for the Tanjungpinang area and Bintan Regency for the next three days.

Analysis of the dynamics of the Sea Surface Temperature or SST as of June 20, 2021 around the waters of the Riau Archipelago, especially in the waters of Bintan Island, generally still in warm conditions ranging from 29 °C to 31 °C. 

Also, the SST anomaly in the waters of the Riau Islands tends to be neutral with values between -0.5 to + 1.0 °C. 

"The updated ENSO index in June was +0.21 and was in a neutral condition, and is expected to last until December 2021. 

So, in general, it doesn't have an impact on increasing convection activity in Indonesian territory," said BMKG Tanjungpinang forecaster Hayu Nur Mahron, Tuesday, (6/22). 

In addition, he continued, the Dipole Mode Index (DMI) of -0.70, which indicates negative conditions, is predicted to return to neutral and last until December 2021.

Thus, it is quite influential on the addition of air mass from the Indian Ocean to the territory of Indonesia.

Analysis as of June 20, 2021 shows that the MJO is inactive, so it has no effect on the distribution of rain-producing clouds in Indonesia, especially the western part of Indonesia, including the Riau Islands

There is a cyclonal pattern in the Indian Ocean southwest of Sumatra and the Pacific Ocean north of Papua. The wind speed is relatively the same as normal.

In the second basis of June 2021, in Indonesia south of the equator, it is predicted that the east wind will still be dominated. The cyclone pattern is predicted to form in the northern part of Sumatra and Kalimantan.
