TRIBUNBATAM.id - Positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia increased by 2,557 cases, Friday (9/24/2021). Thus, the total accumulation of Covid-19 in Indonesia since March 2, 2020 has been recorded at 4,204,116 cases.

Based on data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, on the same day, there were an additional 4,607 people recovered from the corona virus infection. This brings the total number of recovered cases to 4,017,055 people. 

In addition, the daily death cases related to Covid-19 increased by 144 people. As a result, the total number of deaths increased to 141,258 people. 

At the same time, there were 45,803 active cases, or a decrease of 2,194 cases from the previous day. On Thursday (9/23), there were 47,997 active cases. 

In addition, the total suspected Covid-19 is 370,614 people. Meanwhile, the number of specimen examinations reached 252,596 samples. 

The Covid-19 Task Force noted that the total 1st vaccination reached 84,863,899, the 2nd vaccination was 47,708,141, and the 3rd vaccination, which was a booster, reached 890,455. 

The day before, Tuesday (9/21/2021), the total number of positive cases in Indonesia reached 4,201,559. Of these, 4,012,448 were declared cured, and 141,114 people died due to Covid-19

The trend of positive cases of Covid-19 is decreasing, after a spike in cases occurred throughout June to July 2021.  

Now, the government has begun to open various activities in the community, one of which is teaching and learning activities in schools. 

However, many cases of Covid-19 were found during Face-to-face Learning (PTM) activities. Both teachers and students were found to be positive for Covid-19 based on the results of the examination. 

Based on data from the Ministry of Education and Culture as of September 23, 2021, there were 1,302 schools that became clusters during PTM or 2.77 percent of the 46,984 schools that were survey respondents. 

Meanwhile, there are 7,208 educators and education staff who have tested positive for Covid-19, while 15,456 students have tested positive for Covid-19
