Homestay Owners in Labuan Bajo Get Ready to Accept Tourist Arrivals ahead of G20

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, appealed to homestay owners in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), to be prepared to receive tourist visits related to the G20 event.
The tourism residential facilities (sarhunta) were built as an effort to optimize residential functions and establish connectivity between buildings, as well as environmental management based on community empowerment.
For information, Adira Homestay was built in October 2020 and has been in use since April 2021.
The inn has five rooms. Each room is equipped with a bed, bathroom, and air conditioning.
Sandiaga expressed his appreciation for the government's cooperation through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), local governments, and all stakeholders.
"I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Government through PUPR for the assistance in providing Tourism Residential Facilities here.
The presence of Tourism Residential Facilities is one form and becomes an icon of equitable tourism, so that not only large hotels are built but Sarhunta also ," said Sandiaga.
He explained that the PUPR Ministry had built around 241 homestay units, 25 workshop units, 99 shop units, 44 culinary units, 18 other services, and 213 corridor units in Labuan Bajo.
After the pandemic, he continued, Indonesia will again focus on economic revival, tourism recovery, and the creation of more job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Implementing Agency for the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority (BPOLBF), Shana Fatina, expressed her commitment to jointly strengthen the attractiveness and development of Sarhunta governance.
She said, Sarhunta will also be included in the venues for upcoming events, one of which is the G20 which is getting closer.
According to her, Sarhunta is one of the implementations of tourism that is fair, friendly, and provides comfort.
In addition, it is also a form of providing space for community participation in the development of tourism in Labuan Bajo.
