The Pelawan Navy Ship (KAL) is a new marine security fleet, under the control of Lanal TBK, with Danlanal, Marine Lt. Col. (P) Mandri Kartono.
KAL Pelawan is produced together with several other ships.
Other KAL is intended for a number of other Lanal, namely Lanal Banten, Lanal Mamuju, and Lanal Sabang.
The KAL Pelawan type is a limited patrol boat. That is, tasked with carrying out patrols in the area of Lanal TBK only, which is under the authority of Tanjungpinang Lantamal IV.
The name of this ship is also taken from a beach which is a mainstay of tourism in Karimun Regency, namely Pelawan Beach.
It has a length of 28 meters, KAL Pelawan can go with a maximum speed of 28 knots. KAL Pelawan is staffed by 15 Navy soldiers with the commander of the Marine Captain (P) Bagus Setiawan.
On duty, KAL Pelawan can patrol fully or endurance for three to four days.

This ship is equipped with two 12.7-millimeter caliber weapons mounted on the left and right side of the bridge. Then, a 20-millimeter caliber weapon on the bridge of the front of the ship.
For the Lanal TBK area, the waters of Karimun Regency are directly adjacent to neighboring Malaysia and Singapore.
