Health: Reduce the Risk of Eczema and Asthma in Children with Fish Consumption
There is no harm in children having started consuming fish since the age of one, at least taking it once a week to get health benefits.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - No need to doubt anymore, fish is one type of food that has a myriad of benefits. Besides containing protein, eating fish regularly can reduce the risk of eczema and acid.
A study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology found that exposure to fish early in life can reduce the risk of eczema, wheezing, and asthma skin problems in children. In fact, all types of fish provide the same health benefits.
According to the study, there is no harm in children having started consuming fish since the age of one, at least taking it once a week to get health benefits.
In the study, there were 4,000 families participating in a child allergy survey called allergy prevention among children in Trondheim. This research has been conducted since 2000.
According to Melanie Rae Simpson, senior study author and postdoctoral associate at the Department of Health and Public Nursing, eating all types of fish, including fatty fish, contributed to the decline.
"This is more important than the intake of fish and fish oil consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding or the intake of children in two years old, which do not appear to have the same protective effect," he added. (*)
