Associate With Japanese Investor, BP Batam Visits JETRO in Singapore
BP Batam visited Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Singapore to held discussion. Japan was interested in the development of KEK in Batam.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam Business Entity (BP) visited Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Singapore.
In this trip, BP Batam Promotion and Public Relations Director Dendi Gustinandar was accompanied by BP Batam Promotion Head Ariastuty Sirait, and BP Batam Singapore Liaison Officer (LO) Gloria Tan met directly with JETRO Senior Director Kenichiro Moroyu and JETRO Chizue Honda Economic Information Research Analyst.
Japan as one of the countries that from the beginning of Batam's development was a priority investor in Batam.
As global competition, Japan began to compete with other countries in terms of investment value.
However, BP Batam still sees Japan as an important country for investment in Batam.
Dendi said, in a discussion with JETRO, it was revealed that Japan was interested in the development of Special Economic Zones (KEK) in Batam.

"We are interested in the implementation of KEK in Batam, and the logistics movement for goods from one region to another," said JETRO Economic Information Research Analyst, Chizue Honda, "he said recently.
Honda said, the digital economy is also one of the areas that JETRO looks at in Batam.
Responding to this, Dendi said the creative industry sector and the digital economy became one of economic focuses in Batam.
"We hope that the development of digital sector brings industry variations for Japanese investors," said Dendi.
Dendi Gustinandar conveyed his plan to visit JETRO office in Jakarta to discuss Japanese businessmen interests in Batam.
"We see Jakarta as an important domain for Japanese entrepreneurs who want to invest in Batam, besides Singapore because of its geographical proximity," said Dendi.
Japan External Trade Organization or JETRO is an organization established by Japanese Government to promote trade and investment.
JETRO Business Support Center in Singapore was established on October 2001, to facilitate the development of Japanese business in Singapore and surrounding countries.
