4 Terms of Technopreneur Acceleration in Indonesia, Here's the Explanation

TRIBUNBATAM.id - To build a massive digital economy, the government must continue to push the importance of the innovation ecosystem through acceleration of technopreneur or entrepreneurs who use digitalization.

Deputy Head of Technology Policy Review (BPPT), Gatot Dwianto said, based on data from Kemenristekdikti, the number of technology-based or technopreneur entrepreneurs was at 0.43 percent in 2017. 

Based on data obtained from the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), internet users reached 171 million in 2019.

With the technopreneur, especially for millennials, it is hoped that internet users can become digital economic actors to improve the Indonesian economy.

Gatot also said, to support technopreneur, there are four things that must be considered, including strengthening human resources, strengthening technology, incubators, and financing regulations. 

These are the explanation:

1. Strengthening human resources (HR)

Mindset or mindset of human resources must be changed. A technopreneur must also be someone who dares to take risks, not reject risks.

"Changing the mindset is important, we change the goal to be broad, initially narrow thinking can become broad," he continued. 

2. Strengthening technology

The government must conduct phased training to the community so that the use of the internet or technology can be more optimal.

3. Incubator

More technopreneur incubators are needed in Indonesia. Every university in Indonesia is expected to have a technopreneur incubator. 

4. Financing regulations

The government must also take part in helping with the funding needed and discussing the regulations needed. 

"We and the stakeholders must be able to work together, coordinate for the creation of our improved economy, especially with the help of digitalization," Gatot said. (*)
