TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam's economic conditions are sluggish due to impact of Corona virus spread.
This has been felt in the past month.
The most visible of the two sectors, raw materials for industry and sectors decreased the number of foreign tourists visiting Batam city.
In response, Head of BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi immediately took a solution to save economic growth in Batam.
He immediately held a meeting with all stakeholders and various entrepreneurs at BP Batam Office on Monday (2/3/2020) to discuss economic sluggishness in the month of Corona virus impact.
"We take the decision this Monday. Search for solution," said Rudi, Friday (2/28/2020).

Rudi assessed that for the sake of mutual safety, industry players should be able to find raw materials from other countries.
So it does not only depend on China, although there the price of raw materials is cheaper than other countries.
"This company should be looking for itself. Because so far only oriented to China only, it is cheaper.
In the future may not lose. Though this raw material is from many other regions. But from China which is cheap," said Rudi.
He promised to convey this to business people in Batam that would be collected.
So that raw materials for industry can run as it should.
"Tomorrow I will convey that. We are both responsible with this country. We only as holders of regulations will enforce it.
But it is important to know that saving nation must be together. Because we are the culprits," he said.
Similarly, the decline of foreign tourists number for tourism sector.
He said still waiting technical instructions for hotel, restaurant and entertainment tax exemptions from Ministry of Finance.
It has received incentives related, it's just not yet mentioned how many for Batam city.
"The hotel policy, if for example the regulation allows us to release us, is only 10 percent.
If there is a ministerial policy, we hope that the hotels will lose nothing compared to the total loss.
We consider him to have a profit of 50 now, but even lose 20 percent.
The incentive has already received the letter. There is no information on how much it is for us.
