Recovering From Corona, Patients in Karimun Declared Negative Covid-19 during the Third Swab Test

The positive patient of Covid-19 in Karimun was finally cured after undergoing several further swab tests. Here are the explanations.

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The positive patient Covid-19 in Karimun was finally cured after undergoing several further swab tests.

After the patient's condition continued to improve, the Karimun Regency Covid-19 Task Force for Responding had sent samples to the laboratory six times. The results of the first and second tests, male patients, aged 40-50 years were still tested positive for Corona. 

Then the results of the third test completed on March 27, 2020, stated negative Covid-19. Likewise, with the results of the fourth test on April 1, 2020, the patient returned negative. 

"Actually there are 6 times the sending of samples, but the 3rd and 4th results are negative. So the 5th and 6th don't need anymore," said the Head of Karimun District Health Department, Rachmadi, Thursday (2/4/2020).

For now, patients are still in the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Muhammad Sani Karimun Regency. Rachmadi said he would first consult with the treating doctor, whether the patient was discharged or not.

If treated, the patient will be moved from the isolation room to the usual ward.

"Depends on the doctor. If you meet the requirements to be discharged, then you will be discharged. But if you still need to be treated for other illnesses, you will be treated in an ordinary ward. We will monitor later," he explained.

Previously known, the positive status of Covid-19 patients in Karimun District was declared cured.

The information was received by the Karimun Regency Covid-19 Task Force on Thursday morning. 

With this news, there are currently no patients with the positive status of Covid-19 in Karimun Regency.

The patient from Karimun Regency was tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (3/19/2020). He has a history of travel to Malaysia. He returned to Indonesia on March 9, 2020.

Three days in Karimun, or to be exact on March 12, 2020, he went to the Muhammad Sani Regional Hospital to have a checkup due to coughing up blood. Since the patient checked himself, the hospital immediately isolates it.
