The plane from Batik Air carried 112 passengers.

"This plane was forced to land in Batam because the destination airport was covered with rain and visibility was under 500 meters," Suwarso said.
He continued, at that time the plane carried as many as 112 passengers, with details of 8 business passengers and 104 economy passengers.
"Passengers after landing at Hang Nadim Batam remained in the plane for about 30 minutes and after getting information on the weather in Pontianak had improved, they finally returned to Pontianak," he said.
