TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Businessmen of the tourism sector in Tanjungpinang must rise from adversity due to the impact of Covid-19.
This request was conveyed by the Head of the Culture and Tourism Department (Disbudpar) of Tanjungpinang City, Surjadi when giving a speech to participants of the Tanjungpinang City destination management training, recently.
Surjadi hopes that the event participants can be the spearhead to revive the tourism economy in the City of Tanjungpinang.
"The knowledge gained in the four-day training must be able to be used and practiced," said Surjadi.
He stressed, after Covid-19, the tourism industry in Tanjungpinang must rise.

"To generate tourism, the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) and guides must be the spearhead," he said.
Meanwhile, a trainee, Agung Hercules Setiawan, claimed to be motivated by this training.
Agung admitted, since the Covid-19 pandemic, foreign tourists visiting Senggarang have plummeted. Before there was a Coronavirus, in one day, 500 foreign tourists visited Senggarang.
"Now there are no more," said the Senggarang Pokdarwis administrator.
