Government and Society Must be Cohesive when Facing Covid-19 in Batam

Vice Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad and Batam Regional Secretary Jefridin, delivered a special message regarding the 75th Indonesian Independence Day.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - After the flag-lowering ceremony at Dataran Engku Putri, Batam Center, Monday (17/8/2020), Vice Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad and Regional Secretary ( Sekda) of Batam City, Jefridin, delivered a special message regarding the 75th Indonesian Independence Day. 

Amsakar advised the nation to always be proud of Indonesia.

In particular, he asked Batam community to always maintain solidarity and strengthen synergy for all stakeholders for the development of Batam City.

"In commemoration of this independence day, Batam's momentum should grow," said Amsakar.

Serving as the inspector for the flag-lowering ceremony that afternoon, Amsakar asked the government and society to be more cohesive in dealing with problems in Batam City.

"We are being faced with Covid-19, we must be compact in order to get through this problem and so that Covid-19 will soon pass," ordered Amsakar.

At the same location, Jefridin also conveyed his message at the moment of independence asking all parties to close ranks in order to reach an advanced and victorious Indonesia.

Especially for millennials in Batam, he emphasized the enthusiasm and love for the country.

Jefridin advised that young people in Batam must have a sense of pride in their identity as the part of nation.

He also asked that the creativity of young people in the future be able to make Indonesia proud.
