TRIBUNBATAM.id - The public is asked to be aware of the dangers of Covid-19 and no longer consider the Covid-19 pandemic as a conspiracy that benefits health workers.
This was conveyed by representatives of the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association, Eva Sri Diana, following the thousands of people who died from Covid-19, including hundreds of health worker.
"Hundreds of health workers who have died show that Covid-19 is not our conspiracy, the doctors; not our conspiracy, the health workers. But it is a fact that we must face together," said Eva at the launching of a digital tomb for health workers. Saturday (5/9/2020).
Eva said, doctors always feel hurt every time they hear the news that a colleague has died due to Covid-19.
However, Eva said, doctors should not be afraid of Covid-19 even though the threat of Covid-19 is very real because they are bound by the oath and professional ethics of doctors.
Eva also asked the public to trust and support the work of health worker to help others.
"Please support us, don't be against us, don't think that we are looking for a profit in the midst of the epidemic, we beg the Indonesian people, please obey health protocols," said Eva again.

He added, not a few health workers were exhausted during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, he hopes, the community can truly comply with health protocols so as not to add to the burden on medical personnel.
"If it continues like this, there will be a risk of death for us. If many doctors and health workers die, who will help the community?" Eva said.
It is known, the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI) said that there were 104 doctors who died due to Covid-19 during the six months of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
This number is based on IDI's records since the first Covid-19 case was announced in Indonesia.
Reporting from data on 104 names of doctors who died, the doctors came from various provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta, West Java, East Java, Central Java, Banten, Bali, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Riau Islands, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Aceh, NTB and West Papua. (*)
