8 Districts in Batam enter the Covid-19 Red Zone, Most Positive Cases are in Batam Kota sub-district

Covid-19 cases in the city of Batam are still increasing. As a result, eight sub-districts in Batam City still have the status of the Corona red zone.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Covid-19 cases in the city of Batam are still increasing.

As a result, eight sub-districts in Batam City still have the status of the Corona red zone.

This sub-district includes Nongsa District, Batamkota District, Sekupang District, Bengkong District.

Then, Lubuk Baja District, Sei Beduk District, Batuaji District and Sagulung District. 

Of all these districts, Batam Kota Subdistrict as the contributor to the most confirmed positive Covid-19 patients, with a total of 640 patients.

This number is more when compared to Sei Beduk District with a total of 469 patients and Sekupang District with a total of 441 patients.

Not only that, these three sub-districts are also listed as contributing the most patients that in care to date.  

The Batam City Covid-19 Task Force, Saturday (31/10) noted that 47 Batam residents tested positive after undergoing a swab test.

This number also adds to the total number of Covid-19 patients in Batam City to 2,887 people. 

Where, as many as 2,099 people were declared cured and 67 of them died. 

Meanwhile, the remaining 721 people are currently undergoing treatment at several referral hospitals. (*)
