UPDATE February 6: Increase by 12.156, Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Reach 1.147.010

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of patients infected with Covid-19 in Indonesia is still increasing. 

Based on government data from Friday (5/2/2021) to Saturday (6/2/2021) at 12.00 WIB, there were an additional 12,156 people who contracted Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

Thus, the number of patients who have contracted Covid-19 now reached 1,147,010 people as of March 2020. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force to reporters Saturday afternoon. 

The data can also be accessed via www.covid19.go.id which is updated every evening.

In addition, the same data also showed that there were an additional 12,204 recovered patients.

They were declared cured after getting two negative results in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory examination. 

Thus, the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 now amounts to 939,184 people.

With this data update, there are now 176,433 active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia.

Active cases are the number of positive Covid-19 patients who are still undergoing treatment in hospitals or independent isolation. (*)
