TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 pandemic lasted 11 months in the country, but there are no signs that the government has succeeded in controlling the rate of transmission of the coronavirus.
The number of patients exposed to Covid-19 in Indonesia continues to grow. Based on government data, until Tuesday (9/2/2021), there were an additional 8,700 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition has caused the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now reach 1,174,779 people, starting from the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.
This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by journalists on Tuesday afternoon.
Data can also be accessed by the public via the Covid19.go.id website.
Covid-19 cases now been recorded in all provinces in Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
In more detail, there are 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces that recorded patients due to being infected with the coronavirus.
This means that more than 99 percent of the territory in Indonesia has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. (*)
