TRIBUNBATAM.id, MALANG - Aftershocks occurred in Malang, East Java on Sunday (11/4/2021), at 6:45 WIB.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Department (BMKG) said the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.5.
The epicenter of the earthquake is in the southwest of Malang Regency, to be precise at 80 kilometers southwest of Malang Regency or at the coordinates of 8.84 latitude south-112.41 east longitude.
Then, the depth of the earthquake was recorded at 98 kilometers. Meanwhile, according to BMKG the earthquake had no potential for tsunami.
As previously reported, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 rocked Malang and its surroundings on Saturday (10/4/2021) at 14.00 WIB.

Apart from Malang, aftershocks were also felt in Nganjuk, Pacitan, Trenggalek, Wonogiri and Gunungkidul.
Meanwhile, according to the Head of Karangkates BMKG Geophysics Station, Malang Regency, Ma'muri, until now there have been nine aftershocks. The aftershock occurred in the southern sea of Malang Regency.
Then, after the earthquake, the Malang Regency Government established an earthquake emergency response status.
