TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Galang Sub-district is the only sub-district in Batam City, Riau Islands Province that has a Covid-19 green zone status.

A number of other hinterland sub-districts, such as the Belakangpadang District, are known to be in the orange zone with 22 active cases.

Meanwhile, Bulang District is in the yellow zone with one active case.

Meanwhile, a number of mainland sub-districts in Batam are dominated by the Covid-19 Red Zone.

Data from the Covid-19 Task Force as of Saturday (6/12) stated that a number of sub-districts, including Batam City District, had 242 active cases. 

Nongsa District with 71 cases, Bengkong 61 cases, Batu Ampar 53 cases, Lubuk Baja 87 cases, Sekupang 240 cases, Batuaji 136 cases, Sagulung District with 126 cases and Sei Beduk District with 85 cases.

The addition of active cases in a number of these sub-districts after there were 64 new cases collected since Saturday (6/12). 

The number of cases consisted of 39 symptomatic confirmed cases, 20 asymptomatic confirmed cases, 1 travel confirmation case and 4 contact confirmation cases.

Currently, there are 9,462 patients who have recovered from the corona virus and 1,125 cases are still being treated.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Batam now reached 10,809 cases.  

Of these, 222 people died from Covid-19.  

"Currently, the cure rate reaches 87.5 percent, while the active case rate is 10.4 percent and the death rate reaches 2 percent," said Head of the Batam City Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Didi Kusmarjadi in a statement received by Tribunbatam.id, Sunday, (6/13)

The most active case patients were treated in self-isolation, namely 442 people, and 326 people were treated at Batam Hajj Dormitory. 

Meanwhile, 56 patients were treated at Embung Fatimah Hospital, Awal Bros Hospital as many as 63 patients, 41 patients at Galang Covid-19 Hospital, 42 patients at Elisabeth Batam City Hospital.
