UPDATE August 7: Add 31.753, Indonesia's Covid-19 Cases currently reach 3.639.616 People

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has again announced the latest developments in Covid-19 cases in the country. 

Data from the Covid-19 Task Force on Saturday (8/7/2021), showed that there were 31,753 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

The addition brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 3,639,616 people. 

Meanwhile, this new case was obtained after the government examined 237,556 specimens in a day. 

In the same period, 148,980 people were sampled for specimen examination.  

The government also reported an additional 39,716 Covid-19 patients who had recovered. 

Thus, the total number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 to date is 3,036,194. 

With this data, the active cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia now 497,824 people. 

This number decreased by 9,551 patients compared to the previous day's data. 

Active cases are the number of positive Covid-19 patients who are still undergoing treatment in hospital or in self-isolation. 

Covid-19 cases now been recorded in 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces in the country, from Aceh to Papua. 

This means that the transmission of the coronavirus has been recorded in more than 99 percent of Indonesia's territory. (*)
