On Wednesday (10/6/2021), Mount Ile Lewotolok was recorded to have erupted 14 times.
"14 eruptions were observed with a height of 200-500 meters above the peak of white and gray smoke," Stanis Ara Kian, an observer of the Ile Lewotolok volcano, said in a statement received Wednesday night.
Stanis said the eruption was accompanied by a weak to moderate rumble and boom.
He said that until now the activity level of Mount Ile Lewotolok is at level III (standby).
He advised the people around Ile Lewotolok as well as climbers and tourists not to carry out activities within a 3 km radius from the summit. (*)
