TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in September 2021 increased by 1.41 percent compared to August 2021. 

This was conveyed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno. 

The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in September 2021 reached 126,500 visits. 

Of that number, most of them came from Timor Leste with 72,900 visits (57.7 percent) and Malaysia with 39,800 visits (31.5 percent). 

However, when compared to September 2020, the number of visits in September 2021 decreased by 15.08 percent. 

Meanwhile, in the January-September 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 1.19 million visits. 

This number has decreased by 67 percent when compared to the same period in 2020. 

Regarding the acceptance of international arrivals in Bali, until now there have been no foreign tourists visiting the Island of Gods via direct flights.
