TRIBUNBATAM.id - Although hotel occupancy in Bali is increasing ahead of the Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 (Nataru) moments, the available room prices are still relatively stable.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Badung, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Suryawijaya.
"Room prices remain reasonable, because of the economic law of supply and demand."
"Room availability is still more than demand. The Covid-19 situation is still there, so prices are relatively affordable," he said, Thursday (12/16/2021).
The number of visits before Nataru is indeed quite high.
According to the latest data, according to Suryawijaya, about 22,000 domestic tourists visit Bali every day, with 12,000 tourists arriving by air and 10,000 by land.
The current arrival of domestic tourists has succeeded in increasing the regional average hotel occupancy in Bali to 35 percent.
Even so, the increase in domestic tourists is still being pursued.
This is in order to meet the availability of rooms which amount to around 146,000.
The current pandemic situation has caused hotels and other service providers in Bali to not be able to get optimal benefits.
There are still many hotels and inns that provide low prices just to meet their operational needs.
Suryawijaya hopes that the Covid-19 pandemic situation will return to normal soon so that the number of domestic tourists will increase in the future.
Currently, hotel occupancy in Bali is generally still concentrated in certain areas, such as Badung, Denpasar, and Ubud.
