TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government will use a travel bubble scheme for overseas travelers (PPLN) in the international Mandalika MotoGP and G20 events.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, the travel bubble is considered the right scheme to maintain the effectiveness of handling the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
"What is currently being developed is a travel bubble. This scheme is implemented comprehensively, which is in the quarantine period applicable to crew, riders, and MotoGP officials."
This was said by Sandiaga in a virtual Weekly Press Briefing, Monday (01/17).
He added that the government would provide a special hotel for MotoGP crew, riders and officials.
This also includes all parties involved in both the hotel and the circuit, such as drivers, janitor, local crews, and others.
This means that those who are part of the bubble are not allowed to physically interact with parties outside the bubble.
That way, the crew, riders, and officials can still carry out optimal preparations even though they are in quarantine.
According to Sandiaga, this travel bubble scheme will later be implemented upon arrival in Malaysia for pre-season tests.
