TRIBUNBATAM.id - Indonesia will host the 2022 MotoGP at the Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, NTB on 18-20 March 2022.
Having a capacity of around 100,000 spectators, a number of procedures were carried out to anticipate the spike in the Covid-19 cluster.
The government of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Tourism Office and the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) have set a number of provisions or procedures for watching the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP.
In the ASITA Business Talk event entitled MANDALIKA MOTOGP 2022: Readiness of Tourism Facilities and Services, Tuesday (02/08), it was stated that all spectators were confirmed to be from within the country.
"All MotoGP spectators, all of whom are confirmed to be travelers from within the country or PPDN, because our international borders are still closed," said Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Yusron Hadi, Tuesday (02/08).

Yusron revealed a number of health protocols that prospective spectators of the Mandalika MotoGP needed to comply with, including first conducting a rapid antigen test.
Previously, the Head of the Communications Bureau of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, I.G.A Dewi Hendriyani, stated that several conditions that need to be met by MotoGP domestic spectators include:
- Completed dose of vaccination.
- PCR test with negative result 2x24 hours or antigen 1x24 hours.
- Using the PeduliLindung application when taking the shuttle bus to the racing circuit.
- Follow the flow of entry and exit directed by officers to avoid crowds.
- Implement strict and disciplined health protocols.
- Comply with 3M rules, namely washing hands (mencuci tangan), wearing masks (mengenakan masker), and maintaining a safe distance (menjaga jarak fisik).
