Ahead of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP, Total Room Availability in NTB Reaches 24,000

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, said that the number of rooms that available in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) ahead of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP reached 24,000 rooms. 

This number will be increased to anticipate tourists as well as spectators at the motorcycle racing event which is also called the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. 

The government is targeting an audience capacity of 100,000 people. 

For information, the Mandalika MotoGP will be held in March 2022 at the Mandalika Circuit or Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in Central Lombok Regency, NTB. 

Not only homestays and tourism residential facilities, other types of accommodation that are prepared as an alternative for tourists are glamping (glamorous camping) and flats. 

Sandiaga added that later there would be an upper limit and lower limit tariff for accommodation and transportation. 

This determination aims to provide certainty for tourists to prevent fraudulent practices in the field. It is feared that this fraudulent practice will give a negative impression to tourists.

Regarding accommodation marketing, it is planned to be integrated with an integrated ticket booking system.

The plan is expected to increase community involvement, as well as encourage economic revival.

Sandiaga also added that currently, the hotel occupancy rate in NTB during the Mandalika MotoGP is about 52 percent.
