This was conveyed by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation.
The cruise routes in question are:
- The Surabaya-Lembar route with two Ro-Ro ships of PT Damai Lautan Nusantara (DLN) and one Ro-Ro ship of PT Dharma Lautan Utama (DLU).
- The Surabaya-Lembar-Waingapu route with one Ro-Ro ship of PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) or Pelni.
- Benoa-Lembar-Bima route with one Pelni passenger ship.
- Tanjung Wangi-Lembar route with three Ro-Ro ships of PT Atosim Lampung Pelayaran (ALP).
For information, Ro-Ro ships are roll-on/roll-off ships. This ship has an entrance and exit for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.
The Ministry of Transportation has prepared Lembar Port with Gilimas Terminal. The terminal is used to anticipate the increasing movement of passengers to Mandalika.
For information, the distance from Gilimas Terminal to Lembar port is seven kilometers (km) with a driving time of approximately 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, the distance from Gilimas Terminal to the Mandalika Circuit or Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit is about 50 km.
Gilimas was built to serve cruise ships from abroad or foreign tourists. So, the terminal capacity is bigger, which is around 1,500 people.
Floating accommodation is also available, namely two PT Pelni ships, that is KM Kelud which is equipped with 1,398 beds and KM Sinabung with 1,898 beds.
There is also a Dharma Kencana ship owned by PT DLU which has 600 beds.
