TRIBUNBATAM.id, MANDALIKA - Ahead of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, all hotel rooms in the Mandalika area are reported to be full. 

As an alternative, 1,300 tent rooms are also provided in the camping ground area, which is located not far from the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit venue.  

The room availability information was conveyed directly by the Deputy for Destination Development and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Vinsensius Jemadu. 

"We can briefly convey that there are still around 6,492 rooms available in Lombok. In Mandalika, it has been confirmed that it is 100 percent filled, if there are any, specifically for Mandalika, what has not been filled is the camping ground, which is around 1,300 rooms," he said in the Weekly Press. Briefing (WPB) Kemenparekraf, Monday (3/14/2022).

He invited the audience, especially millennials and those who came by touring to stay at the camping ground near the Mandalika Circuit. 

Price of camping ground

While the prices offered for this camping ground range from IDR 250,000 to IDR 1 million.

This price has been set in accordance with NTB Governor Regulation No. 9 of 2022 regarding the upper and lower limits of lodging rooms. 

"This is an affordable price for millennials and also those who watch by touring," said Vinsensius. 

Interestingly, the need for food and drink for MotoGP spectators has also become a concern for the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

On March 13, 2022, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has dispatched a food truck to Mandalika to supply food and beverages as well as to promote Indonesian cuisine.
