This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, while giving a press statement for the Presidential Office PPKM Limited Meeting Evaluation, which was broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account, Monday (4/4/2022).

Airlangga said the policy was carried out in accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo in a limited meeting regarding the evaluation of the Implementation of the Java-Bali Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

The ASEAN countries are Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Regarding foreign travelers (PPLN) who will enter Indonesia, they must show the results of a 2x24 hour PCR test and a vaccine certificate.

For information, the free visa policy has been applied for a long time for fellow countries in the ASEAN region.

However, in 2020, the free visa, Visa on Arrival (VoA) and diplomatic visa-free policies were stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Countries other than ASEAN still have to apply for a VoA when entering Indonesia

Meanwhile, Airlangga added, tourists from countries other than ASEAN countries are still implementing the Visa On Arrival policy.

Tourists have to pay a tariff IDR 500,000 for a special tourist VoA, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 28 of 2019.

In addition, prepare a passport that is still valid for at least six months, return tickets or tickets to continue traveling to other countries, as well as other documents required by the Covid-19 Task Force.
