TRIBUNBATAM.id - Labuan Bajo in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) was chosen to be one of the locations for the G20 side event.

Welcoming this moment, NTT continues to increase the marketing of its creative economy products. For example, through events such as the Like Exotic NTT webinar.

The Minister of Tourism for the Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, hopes that such a program can be a momentum for creative economy actors in NTT to take part in the revival of the creative economy industry.

The selection of Labuan Bajo as one of the locations for the G20 side meeting is a momentum that must be utilized optimally to promote NTT's superior products.

"Typical NTT products such as coffee, NTT woven fabrics which have different patterns and symbols in each district will attract the attention of guests and G20 delegates, as long as both product quality and packaging are standard," said Sandiaga in a written statement.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Implementing Agency for the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority, Shana Fatina said, the development of tourism businesses and the creative economy is one important point in developing a destination.

Meanwhile, the acceleration of strengthening local products in Labuan Bajo has been carried out by the central and local governments since 2019.

"The 2020 pandemic requires us to be creative individuals, no longer relying on the presence of tourists to the location, but we can introduce destinations through local products that reach the hands of potential tourists," said Shana.
