5 Things that will be the Main Focus on the Tourism Working Group of G20 Summit in NTT

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) will be the chair of the Tourism Working Group, in connection with Indonesia's presidency

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) will be the chair of the Tourism Working Group, in connection with Indonesia's presidency at the 2022 G20 Summit (KTT). 

The 1st Tourism Working Group will be held in a hybrid manner on May 10-11, 2022 at Sudimala Resort, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). 

The main issue in this international event is the strengthening of the community as agents of change for the transformation of tourism, so that it is more qualified and sustainable.

The issue will be centered on the five pillars of action (line of action) which will be the main focus of discussion. 

The five pillars of action are: 

1. Human capital or human resources, including work, skills, entrepreneurship, and education.

2. Innovation, digitalization, and the creative economy.

3. Women and youth empowerment.

4. Climate action, biodiversity conservations, and circular economy.

5. Policy, governance and investment frameworks. 

"The G20 delegates who attended a hybrid had the opportunity to convey concrete steps or strategies based on best practices (procedures that were considered effective) that could be collaborated between member countries, to ensure that tourism human resources were optimally educated, skills increased along with the increasingly advanced flow of digitalization, and by continuing to Pay attention to aspects of sustainable tourism," said the plt of Deputy for Resources and Institutions at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Frans Teguh, in his official statement.

He hopes that the G20 member countries can strengthen synergies through the international forum, one of which is to restore the tourism and creative economy sectors that were hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In addition, he hopes that at this event there will be an agreement between G20 member countries.
