1. Widodaren Beach

Widodaren Beach or other names Midodaren, is located in Jepitu Village, Girisubo, Gunungkidul Yogyakarta.

It is called Widodaren because its name is taken from the word 'Widodari' which in Javanese means nymph to describe the beauty of this beach.

This coastline is not as wide as other beaches. But uniquely, this beach is under a rock cliff, there is even a hill facing directly to the beach.

Entrance to Widodaren Beach is free, open for 24 hours and accommodations are available at quite varied prices. Except, if you bring a vehicle, a parking fee will be charged starting from IDR 5 thousand. 

2. Jungwok Beach

The next beautiful beach in Gunungkidul Yogyakarta is Jungwok Beach, which is still in the same village as Midodaren Beach.

The atmosphere on this beach is still natural, even tends to be quiet, so it is suitable as a place for relaxation.

Jungwok Beach offers the beauty of towering coral rocks, sparkling sand, and blue sea water that can spoil the eyes.

The facilities on this beach are very complete so there is no need to be confused if you want to stay overnight. While the entrance ticket costs around IDR 5 thousand. 

3. Pok Tunggal Beach

Located in Tepus Village, Pok Tunggal Street, Gunungkidul, Pok Tunggal Beach can be said as the hidden gem because it is located like a hidden piece of heaven. 

In the past, access to this beach was difficult to reach, so it was relatively quiet.

However, the beach has a source of swift and clear water so that it is able to support the needs of local residents. 

Now the area is starting to be targeted by many people who are curious to see firsthand the beauty of this beach. 

On Pok Tunggal Beach, there is a high cliff that has become an icon and is inhabited by many tame monkeys. 

There are many exciting activities that can be done when visiting Pok Tunggal, namely snorkeling, diving, and even camping. 

4. Sundak Beach

One of the beautiful beaches that is suitable to be explored alone, with a partner, or with family is Sundak Beach in Pulegundes Hamlet, Sidoharjo, Tepus, Gunungkidul.

5. Drini Beach

There are many activities that can be done here such as swimming, snorkeling, and fishing. The supporting facilities around it are quite complete.
