TRIBUNBATAM.id - Indonesian halal creative economy products will be introduced at the G20 Summit in Bali, on 15-16 November 2022, as an effort to attract the Middle East market.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, said that his party wanted to show that Indonesia had halal products that were worthy of export.
He explained, Indonesia became one of the world's halal ecosystem and producer centers.
According to the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2020-2021, Indonesia's Islamic economic indicators are ranked fourth in the world, or up one level from the previous year.
"Indonesia is not only a destination country for importing halal products, but we are also able to become a producer of halal products that are ready to be exported," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
As for the Muslim creative economy, he added, it is part of the potential halal industry.
Fashion products, halal culinary, sharia financial products, sharia hotels, travel tour services that offer Islamic experience travel services, as well as books and films have contributed to the increase in sharia economic trends in Indonesia.

In the culinary sub-sector, for example, Indonesia is the country with the largest halal food market in the world with spending of up to 146.7 billion US dollars.
Not only that, Indonesia is also one of the fifth largest exporters of halal food in the world to the Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC) countries.
Sandiaga said that the demand for halal tourism or Muslim-friendly tourism is currently increasing.
According to him, tourism has been widely supported from the banking side, especially for sharia products.
His party is also targeting billions of Nusantara tourist movements from the development of halal tourism in Indonesia.
