National Commission On Human Rights Asks To All Parties Not Reactive To Address The Demonstrations

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  Commissioner of the National Commission on Human Rights, Amirudin conveyed to that all parties, whether from the police, students, or the citizens, were not too reactive in facing a demonstration. 

According to him, in a democratic country like Indonesia, demonstrations are a natural thing because it is one of the form to conveying the aspirations. 

He said, the police must be able to behave better in the face of demonstrations. No need to use violence that can lead the victims.

While on the side of the demonstrators, Amirudin said that they could express their opinions in accordance with the rules applied. 

Don't act vandalized things because it's against the law. 

The Police until this morning has recorded as many as 265 of students were injured due to the clashes. 

As many as 11 of them must be treated in the hospital. While from the police there were 39 policemen who get injured. 

The riots lasted until late at night. As a result, a number of public facilities were damaged and the inner city toll road was closed. (*)
