TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and PT China Fast Train Indonesia (KCIC) signed a joint agreement on Human Resource Development and the Railway Research.
This collaboration is carried out in order to prepare human resources related to the operation and maintenance of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train.
Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi said, the existence of fast trains is a new thing in Indonesia. Because this is something new, it is necessary to do an intensive together both in terms of technical, educational and research.

"I have assigned the Secretary General to assign potential staff to oversee this KCIC activity and jointly study and research what is being done. Surely we will learn a lot about this new activity, "said Budi, in his written statement, Friday (11/10/2019).
Budi considered that this learning was very important, because it would improve the service and safety of the fast train itself.

The former Managing Director of PT Angkasa Pura II added, the Ministry of Transportation has a function as a supervisor who will also provide the certification.
He said, he had ordered that human resources working on the fast train could later be sent to school, both in schools under the auspices of the Ministry of Transportation or abroad.
"I will assign the Train team to study, both in China and European countries. Because they must have stock with good competence. And the school must be equipped with new knowledge related to the Fast Train, "he said. (*)
