BMKG Weather Forecast in Riau Islands Region, Potential To Rain With Lightning

TRIBUNBATAM.id - In general, the weather conditions in Riau Islands Province (Kepri) on Sunday (11/17/2019) are forecast to be cloudy and have a chance of local rain.

This weather forecast was conveyed by Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) from Meteorology Station Class I Hang Nadim Batam.

Forecaster on duty BMKG Meteorological Station Class I Hang Nadim Batam Rizky F. Widowati said, the weather that was caused was, the pattern of wind turns, causing slowing wind speeds in Riau Islands.

BMKG also provides warnings of high wave potential in Riau Islands waters .

He said, waves of up to 2.0 meters high would occur in the northern waters of Natuna and Anambas, also strong currents in the northeast waters of Natuna.

"For sea transportation, and marine activities are advised to be aware of these high waves," he said.

While the potential for waves in Bintan waters, Tanjung Pinang reaches 1 meter.
