There are 1.2 Million Vehicles in KEPRI that are Dominant Not Paying Taxes, This's BP2RD's Action

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Head of the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency or BP2RD Kepri, Reni Yusneli said, there were about 1.2 million vehicles in the Riau Islands both two or more wheels.

Of this amount, according to the Riau Islands BP2RD data, most do not obey paying taxes.

"Indeed, the 2018 and 2019 tax levies target exceeds the tax target. It's just that there are vehicle owners who do not obey paying taxes," he said Friday (01/10/2020) afternoon in Batam.

At the same time and place, Head of Vehicle File Receipt Division for BP2RD Riau Islands, Dicky Wijaya, detailed the tax collection for the Riau Islands Province. 

"There are five types of revenue. First, motor vehicle tax (PKB), Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBN-KB), motor vehicle material tax (PBB-KB), surface water tax, and cigarette tax. The most dominant is the PKB "Dicky said.

Overall, the tax targets for PKB, BBN-KB, PBB-KB, surface water tax and cigarette tax in 2019 were Rp1,095,827,283,169 and were realized at Rp. 1,183,695,941,422. There was an increase of Rp. 87,868,658,253 or 108.02 percent. 

With details for the acquisition of PKB Rp 400,206,260,564 and realized Rp 408,217,404,021. There was an increase of Rp8,011,143,457 or 102 percent.

The Riau Islands Provincial Government through the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BP2RD) has established a special team of bailiffs. 

Reni explained, the Provincial Government would also collaborate with the TNI-Polri to make a pickup in tax arrears.
