TRIBUNBATAM.id - Residents of Mengkait Village, Siantan Selatan District, Anambas Islands Regency, Riau Islands Province, can finally enjoy 4G quality internet services.
For a long time, the majority of residents, known as the sea tribe, are waiting for the quality of internet services like in the district capital, Tarempa.
They can only surrender accepting the quality of internet data packages with 2G quality. To be able to enjoy internet services, residents usually use the internet network from the Ministry of Communication and Information assistance.
Unfortunately, this service is limited by school operations. When the electricity in the school goes out, free internet service at the school was difficult to obtain.
The head of the Anambas Islands Informatics and Statistics Department, Jeprizal said, there were already two villages that had activated 4G internet services.

"Yesterday, there were already two villages whose 4G services were activated," Jeprizal told reporters on Thursday (5/14/2020).
Anambas Islands Regional Government, according to him, has proposed 14 Base Transceiver Station (BTS) sites, and gradually the Ministry of Communication and Information will improve network quality services.
Gradually and gradually, the Ministry of Communication and Information has upgraded internet access for the border region of the Republic of Indonesia.
Jeprizal said the Head of Mengkait Village expressed his gratitude, especially from people who were now able to enjoy 4G internet services.
Of course, the presence of 4G network services in several villages can bring benefits to the community, even more so with the availability of 4G services can also improve the community's economy.
This will not happen if there is no synergy between the Regional Government and the Ministry of Communication and Information and the Telkom Group operator.
"Of course we are very grateful to the relevant parties who have accommodated requests from the Regional Government in an effort to meet the needs of public telecommunications access," he explained.
