TRIBUNBATAM.id - Lion Air Group airlines — Lion Air, Wings Air, and Batik Air — have a physical distance system in the aircraft cabin during the flight.
"Lion Air Group continues to apply all flight conditions that apply during the Corona Virus pandemic alert period," said Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro in a press statement to Kompas.com, Wednesday (06/17/2020).
This is in accordance with regulatory recommendations from regulators as well as Lion Air Group's commitment to operating which continues to prioritize flight safety, security, and comfort factors (safety first) as well as efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The safe distance regulation system is implemented by adjusting the number of seats based on the type of aircraft operated:
1. Aircraft with a medium / small body category (narrow-body) configuration 3-3 on Boeing 737-800NG, Boeing 737-900ER, Airbus 320-200CEO, and Airbus 320-200NEO and wide-body (wide-body) type Airbus 330- 300CEO and Airbus 330-900NEO which have a 3-3-3 seat layout.
2. ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 aircraft types that have a 2-2 seat layout.
The priority in arranging passengers according to the health protocol with seating configuration and seating arrangement, as follows:
1. The front row is the booking group and passengers who have a Covid-19 PCR / Swab health test with negative results.
2. The next row of seats will be adjusted so that the passenger will sit near the window and the aisle.
3. Continue to adhere to health protocols and provide the rear row seat intended as a quarantine area for passengers who need special handling, including the symptomatic of Covid-19.
In accommodating and implementing efforts systematically, Lion Air Group regulates the system at reporting service facilities (check-in).

With these arrangements, there will be a safe distance between passengers when sitting on the plane. Flight attendants and ground handling officers will continue to assist with technical distance management while in the aircraft cabin.
For reasons of safety and balance of aircraft when taking off and landing, passengers can be moved according to the instructions of the ground officer or cabin crew.
Things that need to be considered in the seating arrangement system for passengers in the cabin, include:
1. The seats in the emergency exit door and window must be filled in accordance with these provisions, with adult criteria (minimum 18 years).
