TRIBUNBATAM.id, KARIMUN - The suspected Covid-19 case in Karimun Regency was declared nil until Tuesday (25/8/2020) afternoon.
All people who are suspected of having Covid-19 have finished undergoing quarantine and have been returned to their homes.
This person who is suspected of Covid-19 is not confirmed or positively exposed to Covid-19. However, they are quarantined because they have symptoms of cough, fever, or sore throat, which are thought to have been in contact with a confirmed positive patient or have a history of travel to areas where Covid-19 has spread.
They still have to undergo a swab test to be checked in the laboratory. The results of these checks will determine whether they are exposed to Covid-19 or not.
"As of August 25, 2020 at 12.00 WIB, the number of suspected cases is 360, the number of isolated 0 and the number of suspects discarded (not exposed to Covid-19) 356," said Head of Karimun District Health Department, Rachmadi, Tuesday (25/8/2020 ).
The total number of confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in Karimun Regency is currently 28 cases. As many as 19 of them have recovered and 9 others are still being treated at Muhammad Sani Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Karimun Regency.

"After isolation, there were 19 confirmed cases and 0 confirmed cases died," said Rachmadi.
In Karimun District, the number of positive cases found more than 25 patients without symptoms. Meanwhile, only 3 people were symptomatic.
Then for the most spread came from close contact with positive confirmed patients, amounting to 24 people. Meanwhile, the other 4 were due to travel (imports).
For PCR examination (throat swab) samples totaled 599.
The number of rapid tests was 2346, with 52 reactive and the rest non reactive.
A number of figures and officials appealed to the public to comply with health protocols recommended by the government.
This is to break the chain and prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Karimun Regency.
As stated by the Head of Ungar Sub-district, Karimun Regency, Suzandra. He reminded all people to always wear masks and wash their hands diligently.
