TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam Entrepreneurship Institution called Badan Pengusahaan (BP) promotes Batam on the presence of Australian entrepreneurs.

That was in Indonesia Australia Business Summit (IABS) 2019 forum that carries theme "IA-CEPA: Capitalizing Partnership Gaining Mutual Benefits", Wednesday (19/9/2019).

The event was initiated by Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Indonesia Investment Promotion Center in Sydney.

This activity is in conjunction with 70th anniversary of Indonesia-Australia Bilateral relations, Indonesian Embassy in Canberra.

IABS Conference was opened by Governor of New South Wales, Margaret Beazley.

He stressed the importance of relations between two countries in several sectors, such as education, connectivity, smart cities, agriculture and trade.

Member 3 / Deputy of BP Batam Business Facilities, Dwianto Eko Winaryo had opportunity to invite Australian entrepreneurs for invest more in Batam.

"We openly invite potential investors to see Batam directly, both as an investment and tourism destination, said Dwianto, in the release of BP Batam Public Relations, that Tribun received.

Forum is divided into three different fields and discussions.

Namely Automative, Vocational Education and Training also Infrastructure in development of  tourism industry and Special Economic Zones.

In his presentation, Dwianto explained the latest developments related to development in Batam as preparation for establishment of Special Economic Zones called Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK).

In the 3rd plenary session with theme "Infrastructure on the Development of Industries in Tourism and Special Economic Zones". Some of these include the concept of developing Batu Ampar port, water desalination, and light rail transit (LRT).

The fifth IABS activity is an important agenda for Indonesia. BP Batam has the honor of promoting investment opportunities in Batam.

Present at forum, Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, Yohanes Kristiarto S. Legowo, Governor of New South Wales, Margaret Beazley, and 3rd Member / Deputy for BP Batam Business Facilities, Dwianto Eko Winaryo. In addition, there were 110 participants from various business associations, ministries, diaspora and entrepreneurs throughout Australia.

The conference ended with a One on One Meeting with Australian and diaspora entrepreneurs interested in agribusiness business sector, infrastructure development and manufacturing in Batam.
