It is estimated, smog in Batam today has been rising since this morning.

Previously, this condition was caused by smoke from forest and land fire in Riau and several points in Kalimantan.

In fact, interim Governor of Riau Islands, Isdianto, was already worried about the effects of this smog.

"This condition is very worrying. We have also coordinated with related parties to react for it," he said, Wednesday (09/18/2019).

Not only that, he also firmly said it would take a decisive stand for individual land burners.

"If company is proven to burn land, the permit will be revoked," he said.

Isdianto also has given a stern warning to the public, return using masks if at any time a thick puff of smoke returns. (Tribunbatam.id/dipanusantara)
