JOKOWI: Victims Who Died cause by the Earthquake in Ambon Will Get the Compensations
Joko Widodo ensured that the government would provide the compensation to victims that died caused by the earthquake in Ambon. Here's the statement.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - President Joko Widodo ensured that the government would provide the compensation to victims that died caused by the earthquake in Ambon, Maluku.
As for the victims who suffered treatment injuries will be borne by the state.
Jokowi said based on the report of the Head of the BNPB Lieutenant General Doni Monardo, the death toll reached till 23 people.
In addition, hundreds of people were injured, and thousands of people had to be displaced.

"To the victims who died, I have already conveyed to the Minister of Social Affairs to provide the compensation, for those whose treatment injuries were borne by the government," Jokowi said at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday (9/27/2019).

Jokowi admitted that he had already ordered Doni Monardo, TNI Commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief, General Tito Karnavian, and the Social Minister, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to go to the field for instructing their staff to provide the assistance to the earthquake victims in Ambon.
"I have ordered the assistance to be sent immediately," he said.
"Regarding the physical damage caused by the earthquake, now data collection is still being done. The last time I got a report was about hundreds of houses were damaged ," said Jokowi . (*)
