Final Bridgestone Golf ASEAN Amateur Open 2019 Held in Batam

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam City was finally chosen as the venue for final of third Bridgestone Golf ASEAN Amateur Open 2019.

Previously, final of the tournament was held twice in Thailand and Malaysia.

"We did choose Indonesia, and Batam City as our choice. Certainly with several reasons," said Vasudevan, organizer of golf tournament, Friday (10/10/2019).

He also said, the election of Batam City concerning several golf courses in the city has good quality.

Beside that, weather factors also support the holding of the third final tournament.

"Field in Tamarin has difficulty level, and in Palm Spring is very friendly," he continued.

The organizing of Bridgestone Golf ASEAN Amateur Open 2019 itself received full support from Head of Culture and Tourism Department (Kadisbudpar) in Batam City, Ardiwinata.

While attending the peak night of prize distribution, Ardi said the tournament to represent one form of support for tourism development in Batam City.

"This is a form of sports tourism. So it is good to be held every year," he said when met at the peak evening agenda held in Batam View Hotel.

He also categorized this tournament as ceremony in support of foreign tourists for order and continue advancing towards Batam City.

"This event, he entered into successful part in the concept of 3A tourism. We also hope this is held every year," he said

It is known, this tournament has been held since 6 April 2019 and in seven countries.

Batam City was chosen as the venue for final party.

"In Batam it is also the only one that provides 27 holes, in Tamarin 9 holes and in our place Palm Spring 18 holes," said Reggy, one of providers in the place.

He also said as many as seven countries participated in this contest, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia and Thailand.
